We’re kicking off First Friday Jazz with a ride on the Hard Bop Express! This sextet of Midwest jazz all-stars loves to dig into that classic hard bop sound associated with the Blue Note record label in the 50s and 60s, borrowing repertoire from artists like Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Hank Mobely, and Horace Silver.

What better way to start each month, than an evening of jazz at the Opus Concert Café. Offering an eclectic mix of the Corridor’s best jazz soloists and ensembles, each month features a new musical talent and their tribute to the genre that has defied the eras.
2 Hours of Jazz from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
For only a $15 cover charge, guests can enjoy an evening of hot jazz in the coolest venue in town. Doors open at 4:30 PM and music begins at 5:00 PM. Running a bit late? No worries! Jazz 88.3 KCCK live broadcasts the first hour of every concert.
